Obituary

Louise Belvederia French Moss, daughter of the late Deacon Embrey French and the late Louise Wormley French, was born January 21, 1930. She peacefully transited into eternal rest, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia

Belvederia attended school in Pittsburg, Pa. She was a housewife for many years and later was employed by the Caroline County School System until she retired.

At an early age Belvederia joined the Long Branch Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the choir, the Missionary Ministry and Financial Secretary to the church. Belvederia was honored to serve her church and attended faithfully. She was well respected by her family, the church members, and the community. She loved her flowers and spent many hours doing word search and watching television.

She was affectionately known as Bele, Miss Bele, Ma Bele, Grandma Bele and GG. Bele was a babysitter for many of the children in the area. She had a beautiful laugh and was always teaching them story tales, Bible stories and nursery rhymes.

Belvederia is survived by her devoted son, Frank French (Margie) of Woodford, Va.; her devoted daughter, Deborah Dean (Louis) of Roanoke, Va; five grandchildren, Kira Minor, Kimberly Black, Olin McClain, Monica French, and Kisha Dean; eight great-grandchildren, Alexis, Makayla, Dayson, Kori, Morgan, Christopher, Kyree and Alessandra; two great great-grandchildren, Saniya and Rylee; three lifetime friends, Marion Townsend, Daisy Brown and Olivia Gray; one good friend, Gloria Ford and her "lunch buddies".

A viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Long Branch Baptist Church 14297 Long Branch Road , Woodford, Virginia 22580 with family receiving from 7 to 8 p.m.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 with a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church. Reverend L. Tremayne Lacey will be officiating and Reverend Charles Wormley will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
