Beatrice Tena Pleasants' Obituary
Beatrice Tena Redd Pleasants, of Milford, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 26, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Beatrice was born January 29, 1917, to the late Carlton and Josie Redd.
She leaves cherished memories to her daughter, Gwenette Monroe and her husband, Larry, of Milford; two grandchildren, Tina and Matthew Monroe, six great grandchildren, one brother-in-law, Carroll Pleasants of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Naomi Maxwell of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Gloria Pleasants of San Antonio, Texas; and other relatives and friends. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Pleasants.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 2, from noon to 8 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home and one hour before service at the church on Friday.
A homegoing celebration will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, at St. James Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Charles F. Baugham delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
