Beatrice Lewis, 76, of Woodford, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2022 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center .

Beatrice Lewis, affectionately known to many as "Frog" was 7 of 10 children born to the late Jacob and Gladys Lewis in Caroline County, Virginia.  She attended Woolfolk grade school and continued her education at Union Elementary School.  She departed this life on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, Fredericksburg, VA.

Beatrice joined Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and was employed in her earlier years at Mary Washington College in the Cafeteria.

Beatrice was a woman of few words, and she loved her son, as well as her family, who were always there to support her through her health issues. She never complained, even with her numerous visits to the hospital for one reason or another, but she would always bounce back.

She had four brothers, Eddie, Leonard, Joe, and James "Herman" Lewis, and two sisters Rosa Lewis and Mary "Teenie" Morris, who preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories of her son Michael Lewis, who served as her caregiver, two Brothers; Bernard, and Charles Lewis (who also served as her caregiver) both of Woodford, VA, one brother-in-law James E Morris Jr. of Spotsylvania, VA.  one sister; Emma Lou Christopher of Fredericksburg, VA., two sisters-in-law; Helen Lewis,  of Woodford, VA, and Rosa Marie of Baltimore, MD, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all miss her dearly.

Viewing will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Third Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 9132 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Woodford, Virginia 22580 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery at 13121 Woodford Road, Woodford, Virginia 22580.
