Antonio Dupree Smith was born August 30, 1974, to Shellia Smith and Pitman Rock, Jr. in Ruther Glen, Virginia.  He was affectionately known as "Buttaball, Ball Game, and Tony" by his friends and affectionately as "Butta" to his family. He was a pillar of strength for his mother, aunt and children.  Dupree departed this life suddenly on November 28, 2022.

Dupree was a member of Mount Oni Baptist Church. He was known as the "King of Jericho Road" and attended Caroline County Public Schools. He joined the military (Army). Dupree continued his education at Virginia State University and majored in Business.  Dupree was known to keep the party going and had many friends all up and down Interstate 95. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone. He easily made friends with everyone he encountered.

Antonio was a steadfast and reliable son and father.  He unselfishly cared for his mother Shellia, Aunt Delores "Luby", and Aunt Chris.   He loved his grandma, Ida Mae and cherished the time he spent with her. He never missed a Mother's Day, birthday, or a family gathering. He enjoyed the fellowship during the holidays and the good cooking. He would always ask his daughters Blake "Took", Morgan "Poo", and Kennedy "Monsta Mash", Who loves you the most? And, the girls would always respond, "You Do!" Dupree was truly a girl dad. He was famous for changing someone's name to reflect how much he loved you. Dupree called his father "Popps", or "The Colonel".   Together they shared a love for fishing and planting a garden. His love for fishing carried over into his brotherhood with his cousins Andre and Eric Williams. Rueben and Harry Rock also shared a loving special bond with Dupree as his big cousins. Uncle Poochie was known as "Dude" and Uncle Bubba was known as the "Big Kahuna".  Butta would always call on the Big Kahuna when he could not get his way with "Frick and Frat" also known as his "Mumma" and Aunt "Luby".  The relationships that he shared with his cousins was like sisters and brothers.  Growing up, "Boo Boo" and Dupree were like oil and water because they each loved Bubba so much.  Wherever Bubba went Dupree wasn't too far behind him.  As adults, Boo Boo and Dupree learned to share him and grew closer together in love. Dupree was big in stature and the ultimate protector. He took pride in being the big cousin to Ken, Landy, and Tashira.  He would always come to their aid when the "haters" would come around.  Big Cuz would not ever let anything happen to them on his watch. Butta's extended cousins loved being around him whenever they came to Virginia, or when he spontaneously popped up in Washington, D.C. to take in the scene with his extended Smith cousins, particularly Cousin Joe. Butta was a family man and he loved them unconditionally.

Dupree was employed by Harris Trucking with a certified Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A and B driver. He was also an entrepreneur who owned BMK Trucking, Incorporated. In his spare time, Dupree loved watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed playing video games and Go-Go music.  Although, Dupree knew and shared memories with many people his longtime friends Francesca Sizer, Nicole Harris, Kendall Johnson, and Preston Hawkins shared life with him since elementary school.

Antonio Dupree is survived by his daughters Blake, Morgan and Kennedy. His loving mother Shellia Smith and father, Pitman Rock, Jr. (Regina). Aunts, Delores Tyler, Cynthia Williams, Jacqueline Smith (Alexander), and Mary Veronica Smith (Al). Uncles, Garland Smith, Jr (Christine), Willie Smith; His "dedicated jewel", Marisa Sutherland; Stepsister Ashley Rock-Smith; cousins (extended sisters and brothers) Falonda, Kenyatta, Tashira, Garland, III, Eugene Dennetta, Bobby, Shereese, Katrina, Quintera and Breyana. and a host of other loving relatives and friends.  His god parents Sheila Nelson and Vichael Washington.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Caroline County Community Service Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, Virginia 22514.
