Annie P. Myers "Sister" was born July 29, 1937 in Washington, D.C. to the late Roland and Pearl Myers. She was also the sister of the late Virginia L. Myers Samuel.

She received her education in the public schools of the District of Columbia. Upon graduating from Cardoza Senior High School in 1955. She entered the federal government and was employed for 37 years before retiring. During her employment, she received many letters of appreciation, monetary awards and various certificates in recognition of her great work performance.

Annie joined Friendship Baptist Church in Washington D.C. at an early age. She attended Sunday school and vacation Bible school. She was a member of the Rosebuds, the Junior Choir and later, the Friendship Gospel Choir. She loved her church and choirs greatly, but most of all she loved God.

After inheriting her sister's home in Bowling Green, Virginia, she spent a lot of time in that area and decided she should have a church home there. in 1985 she joined Shiloh Baptist Church while still a member of Friendship. Shiloh was also her parent's church home. At Shiloh she was a member of the Senior Usher Board and served faithfully. She loved Shiloh dearly and attended both churches regularly until her death

Annie leaves cherished memories to three cousins who were like sisters; Margie Peatross, Yvonne Moffett both of Bowling Green, Virginia and Veronica Henderson of Clinton, Maryland; a god sister, Margaret Smith (Neda) of Maryland; Marion Ross of Washington, D.C. who was like a sister; a goddaughter, Alasha Peatross of Bowling Green, Virginia and a godson, Jales Peatross of Richmond, Virginia; John Samuel who was like a brother; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church 127 South Main Street, Bowling Green, Virginia 22427 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Reverend Angie Lewis will be delivering the eulogy.

Interment will follow in the Mount Lawn Cemetery, Woodford, Virginia
