On April 8, 2024, Alvin "Bim" Turner peacefully entered eternal rest. Bim recently embraced Jesus as his Lord and Savior and became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.Born in Caroline County, Virginia, on August 21, 1939, to the late Carl Edward and Eustena

Mae Turner, he received his education from Caroline County public schools. Bim had a passion for fast cars, western movies, and puzzles. And everyone knew he was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.

On March 16, 1963, he married Thelma Reed Wright. Together they raised six children: Penny Ann Turner-Hall (Corey), Alvin M. Turner, Anthony D. Turner, Marco D. Turner-Smith (Ronnie), Antwand S. Turner, and Shanda M. Turner.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, six children, six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three brothers, five sisters, and a multitude of cherished nieces, nephews, and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 18562 Countyline Church Rd, Ruther Glen, Virginia, 22546.

Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
