Alma Ora Carter, 60, of Hyattsville, MD., departed this life at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC on April 29, 2010 after a long illness. She was a beautiful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, James P. Carter, her daughter, Yulonda Carter-Royal, two granddaughters, and other relatives and friends. Rest in Eternal Peace.
Visitation will be held on, Friday May 7, 2010 from noon to 8pm with family receiving friends from 7-8pm at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home, Inc., 16476 Richmond Turnpike, Bowling Green VA 22427 and one hour before service on Saturday.
Funeral Services will be held on, Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 1pm at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 21795 Mattaponi Trail, Shumansville, VA 22550. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
