Albert A. Washington, 74, of Woodford, Virginia, formerly of Washington, D. C., went to his eternal resting place on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Bowling Green Healthcare Center, Bowling Green, Virginia.

He is survived by a daughter, Marilyn D. Hamn and her husband, Benjamin Hamn, of Woodford, Virginia; a grandson, Madrice D. Hamn I, of Ruther Glen, Virginia; two granddaughters, Cassaundra Dichens, of Richmond, Virginia and Tayana Hamn, of Ruther Glen, Virginia; and nine greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. Washington; his parents, Fletcher and Rosa Washington; seven brothers and two sisters.

A viewing will be held from 12:00 Noon to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 16, 2010 at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home and one hour before the service on Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at 11:00 A.M., with the Rev. Duane Fields officiating, at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home, Bowling Green, Virginia. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Milford, Virginia.
