Albert Thomas McReynolds, III, affectionately known as "Tommy", entered eternal life on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Hyattsville, Maryland.
He was born on August 29, 1947 at Freedmans Hospital in Washington, D.C. to the late Albert T. McReynolds, Jr. and Ivone Parker McReynolds. Tommy was the oldest of six children and attended Caroline County Public Schools. After graduating in 1965, he went on to attend Arizona State University before joining the military. Tommy served in the United States Air Force as a Sargent for six years and also served in Vietnam.
Tommy loved to travel as he lived in many places. He was a generous and kind man while loving his family and friends. He was always joking, smiling and happy. He loved life and people.
At an early age he gave his life to Christ at Saint George's Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C. later attending Saint Stephens Baptist Church.
Tommy leaves to cherish his memory, a loving mother, Ivone P. McReynolds, a daughter, Shannon Williams; three brothers, Michael McReynolds, Bryan K. McReynolds (Sherrie) and Kevin McReynolds (Cynthia); two sisters, Nona M. McLean and Carla Mills (Marvin) ;uncle, Arnold McReynolds; aunt, Elsie W. Parker; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at St. Stephens Baptist Church, 29436 Sparta Road, Milford, Virginia 22514.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church on Saturday, July 8, 2017 with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
