She joined Saint John Baptist Church at an early age and after moving to the Dawn, Virginia area, she began attending Second Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Addie received her education in the public schools of Caroline County and was employed by several companies including Keller Ladders, Roma Pizza and Walmart.
Addie met the love of her life, the late Lonnie "Ice Man" Fells, with whom she shared her life for more than thirty years.
Addie was an outgoing person who never met a stranger, and she would very quickly initiate a conversation after meeting a person. She loved to work in the yard raising and maintaining her flowers and other greenery. She also enjoyed playing cards with her aunt, Fannie Washington and watching her favorite football team--Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to her parents, Addie was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny R. Green and sister, Rosenell Waddell.
She leaves cherished memories to her two children, William Green and Johnny Green; her devoted sister, Diane Shelton (Tony); four grandchildren, William Fortune, DeAndre Brown, Kiana Satterwhite and Tyreek Monroe; two great grandchildren, Liam and Ava Fortune; to Theresa Ellis Jackson, who was like a daughter-in-law to her; a close neighbor and friend, Marian Goodall; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
